At the Institute of Climate and Society at Mekelle University (MU-ICS), our mission is to empower communities, policymakers, and researchers with the knowledge and tools needed to address the growing challenges of climate change, particularly in dryland regions. These areas are increasingly vulnerable to climate variability, water scarcity, desertification, and land degradation.
Through applied research, education, and capacity building, we provide practical, evidence-based solutions to help communities build resilience and adapt to climate change. By working closely with global, national, and local partners, we ensure access to critical data and innovative tools that transform climate risks into opportunities.
